A Little About DJ DON...

DJ Don has been involved in music for many years, starting in his home town of Syracuse, New York, when his love of music and singing got him "hamming it up" in front of friends at a local pub. During his six year term with the U.S. Navy on board the USS Conolly, Don was in charge of "music and sound", which provided much-welcomed entertainment for his shipmates. Upon his honorable discharge in 1986, Don moved to Barnegat, NJ where he launched Puttin' on the Hits! and turned his passion into reality!

Today, due to Don's enormous popularity, Puttin' on the Hits! entertains groups of all sizes throughout the Jersey Shore region and has traveled into Pennsylvania, New York and Connecticut to perform. In addition, Puttin' on the Hits! donates entertainment services to St. Mary's Church for its annual "Nights of Summer Festival", as well as to several other non-profit community groups in the area throughout the year.

Don is also light on his feet when it comes to "cuttin' a rug." He has taken dance lessons ranging from swing and the ever-romantic tango, to country line and couples dancing, and regularly teaches dance steps at his gigs.

Of course, it's difficult to get Don away from his vast CD library of over 50,000 songs! Not only does he have a large collection of music, he knows how to use it. He loves what he does and it shows!
